an ePub or eBook file is flowable.  What that means is the eBook will flow to the size of the screen or device the book is read on. Depending on if you are viewing your book on a Kindle reader, iPad, Desktop or Laptop, the eBook will look slightly different.

Keep in mind that ebooks have limitations that print books do not. For example, images can’t be placed on the same line as text, only above or below the text.

Once it is installed and you open the application you can view your epub by either clicking and dragging it from your files or by clicking the open button and finding it that way in your files.

On Desktop: To open the MOBI file you can right-click and open it with Kindle Reader or iBooks. To download Kindle reader for desktop.

On iPhone: download the Kindle app, open your email to this email, click on the file and click on the Arrow with a box around it – click open in Kindle App or iBooks app.

1. Click on the App Store

2. Type on the search bar, “Kindle” or “Amazon Kindle.”

3. Choose Amazon Kindle, download the app, and open it.

4. The Kindle App will then open on your iPhone.

ANDROID PHONE

On Android phone: download the Kindle app Move Your Mobi File in the Kindle Folder. Select your MOBI file and tap on Move, and move it into the Kindle Folder in your external or internal storage. Open the Kindle app and read the book.

1. Go to your app drawer on your android device and click on the Play Store.

2. Type on the search bar, “Kindle” or “Amazon Kindle.”

3. Choose Amazon Kindle, download the app, and open it.

If you’re anything like us, then you impulsively download every eBook you can get your hands on. While there’s nothing wrong with being a book hoarder, your iPad may beg to differ with its maxed out storage. No need to panic, though. You can cycle out old stories to make room for new ones in just a few easy steps, according to Business Insider.

How to delete books from the iPad’s Books app

1. Start the Books app.

2. Tap “Library” in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

3. Find the book you want to delete from your iPad.

• If you see a single cover, tap the three dots below it.
• If the book is part of a series (you see a stack of books rather than a single cover), tap the cover to open the series and then tap the three dots.

4. In the pop-up menu, tap “Remove…”

5. Confirm you want to delete it by tapping “Remove Download.”

How to delete books from the iPad’s Kindle app

1. Start the Kindle app.

2. Tap “Library” in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. To see only the books stored on your iPad, tap “Downloaded” at the top of the screen.

3. Find the book you want to delete from your iPad, then tap and hold the cover.

4. In the pop-up menu, tap “Remove from Device.”

While we’re sad to see our favorite eBooks being removed from our devices, all purchases will be refunded to alleviate the loss. And if you marked your book up with notes, you’ll get an extra $25 credit. (You’ll probably want to write those notes down real quick before they’re gone forever.)

How can they erase the content downloaded on my device?

This is where the digital world seems to have precedent over the physical world in the 21st century: Although you may have added a book to your digital bookcase, it’s more like you’re leasing the book and less like when you buy a hardback that can only move when you pick it up.

Aaron Perzanowski, author of The End of Ownership: Personal Property in the Digital Economy, does a better job of explaining the concept to NPR:

“You can go out and buy a car and you think you own the car because it’s parked in your garage. “But in reality – how it functions, who can repair it, what replacement parts are compatible with it – all of that is controlled through software code. And, so I think that line between the physical and the digital is getting increasingly blurry.”

Why are they shutting down their eLibrary?

Unfortunately, the company hasn’t announced the reason for the closure, so we still have no idea why. We’re just glad we were told in time to grab our notes and finish our last chapters. Now that you’ve been warned, be sure to do the same!
